About the Artist

Hello, my name is Larry Crew Jr. and I am an illustrator and fine artist based out of Texas who has loved to draw and paint since the age of 9. In middle school, I began making up characters and drawing comics on xerox paper. It was during those years I realized that I wanted to pursue art professionally. After high school, I studied graphic illustration at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where I received guidance and mentorship from the absolute best professors and peers that helped me to refine my craft.

During and after college, I began working on various commissioned portraits and illustrations which provided many new opportunities and challenges which opened doors to working with various organizations and businesses. I have created published works for PLB Comics, Coldstream Studios, Trunk Novel Publishing, illustrations for a children’s book, and album art for an independent band Quadros Pass. I have had works featured in the Mosely Gallery in Princess Anne, Maryland, and works currently displayed at Army/Naval installations and vessels.

As of current, I continue to provide commissioned services as well as working with an author on comic book we plan to self-publish soon.

For inquiries I can be contacted via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or at my email: sharpenedskill@hotmail.com
